We welcome new patients to our practice, whether as a one-off emergency visit or for regular on-going dental care. The first step is to call us on 01494 442 922 so that we can set up a dental record for you. If you would prefer us to call you, then e-mail us at email@example.com . If you require an emergency appointment, then please let us know and we will endeavour to see you as soon as possible. Be sure to mention if you have been recommended to a particular dentist.
Once your record has been set up and an appointment booked, we will post a welcome pack to you, which includes information on our practice and dental and medical questionnaires for you to complete and bring to your first appointment.
At your first visit your dentist will firstly go through the questionnaires and give you the opportunity to discuss any concerns you have. He/she will then do a thorough examination of the mouth, including the teeth, existing fillings, gums and soft tissues, such as tongue, lips and cheeks. They will also check externally around the jaw area for any problems. Your dentist may recommend having x-rays taken. This is to examine in between the teeth and underneath existing fillings or crowns, as well as checking the condition of the supporting bone tissues.
Once the examination has been completed and x-rays taken, your dentist will discuss with you any findings and recommended treatment and answer any queries you have. We will provide you with a written estimate of the recommended treatment and then we can book your next appointment.
If you would like to come and look around the practice and meet some of our staff before booking your first appointment, then please do not hesitate to ask us.
